AS THE DIRECTOR YOU WILL:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of radiology services.
- Ensure effective system-wide collaboration and approaches to common functions including infrastructure, clinical practices, compliance, medical staff partnerships and strategic planning.
- Directs capital equipment planning, purchasing and maintenance for imaging services.
- Take an active role in system-wide approaches to appropriate issues, including supply chain management, billing and radiation safety compliance.
- Coordinate and facilitate a system approach to common imaging functions; specific initiatives include infrastructure, collaborative operations, compliance, medical staff partnerships, strategic planning, capital budget coordination, freestanding imaging strategy, Radiation Safety Coordination, Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Transcription and cost reduction initiatives.
- Coordinate an ongoing Quality Assurance Program to ensure a high level of patient care is being delivered.
- Ensure imaging services are in compliance with The Joint Commission and other regulatory and compliance standards.
- Monitor fees charged to patients for services, including evaluating the pricing and cost structure to ensure alignment with departmental guidelines.
- Ensure implementation of the equipment service program and maintains proper operations of imaging equipment.
- Coordinate all maintenance agreements with appropriate system functions to control costs, service and compliance with established market and/or system guidelines.
WHAT CAN LEAD TO YOUR SUCCESS:
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Health Care Administration or related field.
- 7 years of experience in a large, complex radiology department with multiple modalities to include Nuclear Medicine.
- 3 years of management experience in managing staff, budgets and multiple modalities at the manager/director level.
- Knowledge of various imaging modalities, health care administration and general business principles.
- Knowledge and demonstrated financial management as well as a thorough knowledge and understanding of radiologic service areas and operations.
- Significant successful high-level interaction with medical staff.
- Strong decision making and critical thinking skills.
- Strong skills in successfully managing multiple units.
