Director of Logistics - Coda Search│Staffing : Job Details

Coda Search is partnering with one of the largest energy service companies in the Northeast with offices located in Westchester County. With over 100,000 customers and $80M+ in revenue in 2023 the team has been growing rapidly. The team is seeking to hire a Director of Logistics who will partner closely with the CFO and Director of Strategy managing all logistics, procurement, and purchasing for the firm, driving the strategic direction of the firm.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the shipment and tracking of energy products to ensure seamless supply and distribution.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand efficiently.
• Develop and implement forecasting models for short-term and long-term inventory planning.
• Develop and oversee hedging strategies to manage risk and market fluctuations.
• Identify and implement new trading opportunities to maximize profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both domestic and international suppliers.
• Work with counterparties to negotiate and review contracts, ensuring compliance and favorable terms.
• Manage banking relationships and oversee lines of credit to support trading activities.
• Work closely with senior leadership to align logistics and trading activities with company goals.
• Prepare detailed reports and analytics on performance and inventory levels.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree (required).
• Advanced knowledge of logistics, supply chain, and procurement in commodities
• 7+ years of experience in commodities
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel (including Vlookups and pivot tables).
• Proven ability to build relationships, negotiate contracts, and manage complex supply chains
