About the team This role reports directly to the Vice President of Civilian Market Strategy.
About the role This position is accountable for the continued expansion of their serviceable available market (SAM) by way of building clear growth strategies focused on our
vital record solution segment. This position must be a vital records subject matter expert. Based on their subject matter expertise, they will take initiative to identify new growth areas, substantiate the importance to the business through fact-based analysis, then build & own operating plans and business plans to support the market strategy. They will ensure organizational alignment with the strategy and ensure the business is in the best position to execute by way of establishing and tracking KPI's, holding parties accountable for their part of the plan, and effectively communicate updates, successes, failures, lessons learned, etc. to all stakeholders. This person is accountable for maintaining the latest insights on their segment's needs, risk, legislation, policies, emerging technologies, general trends, competitors, and potential threats. They will be their market segment's authority on establishing the 'what' and the 'why' behind product development investments, external thought leadership, and market positioning. They are also responsible for strengthening their personal brand as well as LNRS brand to external audiences.
You will be responsible for: - Owning the vision for the vital records solution segment
- Taking initiative to explore, identify, and substantiate innovation
- Setting fact-based growth plan (expanding revenue and SAM)
- Acute subject matter expertise of clients, solutions, partners, competitors
- Making timely, objective decisions based on preponderance of evidence.
- Communicating decisions clearly and inspiring consensus among organizational leaders and stakeholders.
- Conveying executive presences through all communication methods; internal and external.
- Demonstrating strong team leadership, both within their team and between business units
- Demonstrating clear market leadership position externally to grow your brand, your market's brand, and the LNRS brand.
- Maintaining big-picture thinking, while managing smaller picture execution focus by way of their staff.
- Maintaining focus on accountability of self and others in a distracting environment.
- Aligning resources to support your vision and strategy who are outside of your direct control.
- Engaging with key industry groups establishing LexisNexis as a thought leader. (i.e. NAPHSIS, , BIC, NIST)
- Performing all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Have 10+ years experience with the U.S. public sector; particularly federal, state, local civilian programs.
- Have 10+ years experience with Vital Records solutions (data, technology, platforms).
- Have 10+ years experience in the Vital Records ecosystem: customers, partners, competitors, consultants, contracting, regulation, laws, etc.
- Have understanding of emerging technologies supporting government transformational initiatives.
- Have proven record of success in building professional relationships.
- Have expert knowledge of business growth techniques.
- Have sharp negotiation and networking skills.
- Have clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Have enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential.
