About the role:

In this exciting role, the Director of Marketing will serve in a highly visible role and is responsible for oversight and leadership of all marketing and communication functions for the organization. This includes partnering with Sales and Customer Success and leading the planning, development, and implementation of all the organization's marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. Oversee development and implementation of support materials around marketing, communications, and public relations. Direct and leads the efforts of the marketing department, communications and public relations staff including outside advertising agency personnel.

The position will report to the CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Exemplify leadership in Marketing; Lead Marketing efforts and ensure the Marketing functions are aligned with the organization's strategic mission.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Leadership Team on all aspects of the operation and production to improve processes and procedures.
  • Leads the strategy development of the NA market as part of BGs overall strategy
  • Is responsible for the developing the Mid Term Business Plan in close collaboration with all functions
  • Evaluate market segmentation and define sales and distributor strategies to maximize potential for two brands.
  • Steer product development to align product roadmap to market demand, while working closely with sales, finance and operations to best optimize value of product offerings.
  • Develop go to market and sunset strategies for product changes to ensure customer engagement and buy-in to product line changes.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy, communications and public relations program that will enhance the organization's brand and position within the industry and marketplace; Measure the results of each.
  • Create, manage, coordinate, and execute marketing strategies and implement tactical plans that drive brand awareness and sales.
  • Implement KPIs, set sales goals, monitor performance, and create action plans.
  • Plan for, support and work hands in the administration of marketing processes including daily tasks and activities.
  • Facilitate internal and external communications, including marketing collateral materials, display ads, social media postings, digital ads, and website content.
  • Maintain and oversee all branding materials within the organization to ensure branding consistency across all mediums, including the appearance of all electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc.
  • Responsible for website design and functionality as well as digital marketing.
  • Coordinate with legal support to manage trademarks and legal compliance of product.
  • Manage and serve as the main point of contact for any outside advertising agencies to ensure a strong ROI on all campaigns. Responsible for editorial direction, design, production, and distribution of all sales collateral.
  • Coordinate media outreach and have regular contact with target media outlets.
  • Coordinate all media buys.
  • Oversee internal and agency graphic design team and provide creative direction and approval.
  • Implement a short and long-term social media strategy for all products.
  • Oversee and report on all SEO analytics and trends including any Pay Per Click advertising.
  • Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing/communications/ public relations program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence, and evaluate performance.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of sales, marketing, communications, and/or public relations activities.
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, and personal sales skills.
  • Desire and drive to lead, manage and work firsthand in the creation of meaningful marketing materials designed to support sales goals.
  • Proven ability to analyze and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs and accordingly plan and execute innovative marketing activities and strategies.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate data and use it in the decision-making process.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, and hiring, training, developing, supervising internal and external personnel.
  • Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations, and negotiating media placement buys.
  • Experience overseeing the design and production of both print and digital materials and publications.
  • Digital Marketing experience required.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years' experience as a Director of Marketing
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing required.
  • A graduate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, communications, or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably with clear understanding of flooring, construction, or manufacturing industry.
