Assistant Director of Nursing ( Home Health ) - Bloomington, MN Job Type: Full Time Shifts: Days Job Summary: Under direct supervision of the DON, coordinates and performs the preparation, data entry, verification and editing of complex, typically confidential data. Assisting the DON with responsibilities regarding clinical services provided by the agency. Helping to direct, coordinate and supervise all clinical functions and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations as they apply to the provision of home visits to patients and assuring compliance with agency policy and procedure. Responsibilities:

  • Assure compliance with company policy and all federal, state and local regulatory bodies.
  • Supervise all clinical activities and staff alongside the DON related to nursing. Communicates and interacts with Director of Nursing and Rehab.
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, orienting and ongoing in-service education of all nursing staff.
  • Remain informed of home health regulations and standards as well as management issues.
  • Accountable alongside the DON for all clinical responsibilities.
  • Provide guidance and support for supervisory, field and office staff.
  • Counsel staff appropriately and in a timely manner concerning areas of deficiency as well as areas of excellence and quality improvement.
  • Ensure coordination of care by all disciplines. Assure that a reassessment of a client's needs is performed alongside the DON by the appropriate health care professional.
Qualifications:
  • High diploma or GED with 2 years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • RN license is Required
  • Must have prior office experience (in home care or healthcare industry).
  • Competent in computer programs, such as, home health software, MS Word and Excel as well the ability to use standard office equipment.
  • Experience with intake and insurance such as Medicare
