Pay: $3,960 gross weekly

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nursing Director to oversee our Surgical Services department. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, with a focus on patient care, staff management, and operational excellence in a fast-paced acute care environment. This position involves overseeing clinical operations while ensuring high-quality patient outcomes, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. As the Nursing Director, you will lead a team of skilled nurses and professionals, working in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across various care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Surgical Services unit, ensuring quality and safety in patient care.
• Supervise and support nursing staff, providing guidance in clinical and administrative functions.
• Monitor and assess performance, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
• Take on a 24/7 leadership role, responding to critical situations and emergencies as they arise.
• Ensure the department operates efficiently while maintaining optimal staffing levels.
• Maintain communication with physicians, department heads, and other hospital staff to coordinate patient care and ensure continuous improvement.

Minimum Education:

• Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Master's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Administration preferred, or commitment to attain degree.

Minimum Experience:

• At least five years of clinical nursing experience.
• Minimum of two years in a specialized area of surgical services.
• One year of nursing leadership experience is preferred.

Required Certifications/Registration:

• Ongoing current RN registration.
• BLS required.
• Additional certifications specific to clinical area, including ACLS and PALS.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Lifting and moving patients and equipment as necessary.
