*This is a Business Development / Customer Success based Sales role, not a Hunter or 'Closer'
This Director level 'farmer' role will involve heavy renegotiation and renewals of our existing OEM partnerships as well as developing new partnerships within the Automotive and Heavy-Duty market. Non-leadership, no direct reports. Instead, you will build relationships with many constituencies throughout the Automotive OEM market. On-going responsibilities will involve negotiating licensing agreements with value proposition to industry stakeholders and securing cost-effective access to Automotive and Heavy-Duty data.
- Manage new and existing vehicle manufacturer (OEM) relationships
- Foster positive relationships with Heavy duty vehicle manufacturers (OEMs) for the purpose of developing and maintaining mutually beneficial business interests
- Work with senior management to develop business opportunities
- Negotiate data licenses with OEMs
- Develop business opportunities with Heavy Truck parts manufacturers that result in securing access to parts catalogues for inclusion in our data products and services
- Represent us at various industry forums dealing with data procurement / availability issues
- Develop relationships and negotiate agreements
Required:
- 7-10 years of retention and renewals experience servicing OEMs
- Responsibility for business development, OEM relations, and account management throughout the Americas.
- Track record of developing and nurturing business relationships
- Broad exposure to the parts and / or service information development area of OEMs
- Experience in contract negotiations preferred
- Personable and customer focused, this is a non-closer role that will help with renewals
- Onsite 2 days per week in our Detroit area (Troy) office
$150K salary with up to $45K in variable comp opportunities.
