We believe designing beautiful custom window treatments should be an effortless experience, so we offer outstanding services to help our customers every step of the way, from inspiration to installation.THE POSITION: Director of Operations, Creative Marketing The Shade Store is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Operations, Creative & Marketing to join our Creative Team. Reporting directly to the Creative Director, this role will play a pivotal part in optimizing creative processes, ensuring project delivery excellence, and fostering collaboration across departments. She/he will create and maintain project plans and timelines as well as communicate project risks and contingency plans to key stakeholders as needed. This person manages use of resources, efficient workflow and on time delivery of projects within the Department. She/he will ensure relative priorities of all projects are understood across the department and that each team is equipped and accountable to execute work and deadlines are met. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee end-to-end creative operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to creative and business objectives
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of the creative team, including resource management, project prioritization and workload distribution.
  • Organize and lead kick-off and status meetings with key players and stakeholders to ensure that project needs and deadlines are being met and sends clear and concise recap of next steps.
  • Holds team members (full-time and freelance) accountable for successful intra-department collaboration and on time delivery across all projects
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to develop and implement strategies for enhancing creative processes and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct project in-take meetings with cross functional partners including Sales, Measure & Install, Production, Product Development and Marketing to understand project requirements and collaboratively draft creative brief.
  • Establish dept wide platform with PM software for managing projects; encourage adoption across team by integrating into routine process of team.
  • Develop and maintain documentation to track project progress and performance metrics
  • Proactively identify potential roadblocks and determine how to triage issues to optimize workflow and increase overall efficiency
  • Act as a liaison between the Creative team and other departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration; proactively communicate deadlines and any delays building confidence and trust with key partners
  • Manage fulfillment of key showroom collateral in collaboration with store team; lead paper procurement process paper and track on hand units of key supplies.
  • Manage Creative dept budget and lead monthly financial forecasting process and annual budgeting process for Creative team
  • Serve as a key liaison between the Creative department and other departments to ensure strong communication and collaboration.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 7-10 years proven experience in a Creative Operations role within the retail or related industry
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functionals teams and optimizing creative processes
  • Strong leadership skills in fostering a collaborative culture
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong follow up on priorities; anticipates next steps and does not let anything slip through cracks
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
  • Proficient in project management tools and software

The base salary for this role is $140k-$160k, commensurate with experience.
