The Director of Operations will be responsible for leadership of Glorious Cannabis operations in Illinois. Primary responsibilities include overall leadership of operations and staff to ensure company targets are achieved in an efficient and compliant manner. The ideal candidate will be, or become, highly networked in the Cannabis ecosystem in Illinois and leverage their network to actively form beneficial supply chain and other commercial partnerships. This role is also a member of the Glorious Cannabis Leadership team and will be expected to add value and contribute ideas and leadership through work on teams and projects beyond the scope of Illinois.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

This position includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Overall P&L responsibility for the Illinois business segment.
  • Lead, coach, and develop all staff ensuring our company Values are understood and adhered to.
  • Actively participate and contribute value to the company Supply Chain and Production Planning processes ensuring Illinois' effective utilization of these systems.
  • Leverage the planning processes to ensure an efficient balance between market demand and production capacity – ensuring that demand does not outstrip production.
  • Interact with Illinois sales and marketing teams to ensure quality and trending product mix of finished good inventory items is properly maintained.
  • Manage facility COGS to budgeted levels including staffing costs, ingredients, utilities, production yields are maintained or exceeding planned metrics.
  • Ensure Department is 100% compliant with CCC, METRC and ERP policies.
  • Actively foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the team – encouraging, recognizing, and implementing improvement ideas from all staff.
  • Oversees recruitment strategy and training of new managers and staff in collaboration with Human Resources.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Business Management, or other related field.
  • Five (5) years in operations management.
  • Previous P&L responsibility for a manufacturing facility or division having at least 50 people and 50 finished goods
  • Excellent communications skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective time-management and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office programs including MS Outlook and MS Excel.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be able to work independently and exercise independent judgement.
  • Self-driven and hardworking.
  • Demonstrates integrity and dedication and has a positive work attitude and strong work ethic.
