Job Description SummaryThe Director of Operations plays a crucial role in supporting the System Administrative Officer (SAO) and Chief of the Veteran's and Corrections Health ICCE, by managing daily operational functions related to the Statements of Work (SOWs) and other contracts. This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual, dedicated to enhancing collaborative efforts and driving operational efficiency throughout various clinical programs.EntityMedical University Hospital Authority (MUHA)Worker TypeEmployeeWorker Sub-TypeRegularCost CenterCC004315 SYS - Corp SC Department of CorrectionsPay Rate TypeSalaryPay GradeHealth-35Scheduled Weekly Hours40Work ShiftNot specifiedJob DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Daily Operations Support:Assist in overseeing the operational execution of SOWs to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.Assist the ICCE Leadership to facilitate the development and monitoring of collaborative initiatives.Act on behalf of ICCE Leadership to work with various leaders across the regional health network to increase the operational efficiencies related to SOWs.Stakeholder Engagement:Act on behalf of ICCE Leadership to strengthen partnership and foster effective communication with various clients.Participate in meetings with clinical teams and operational leaders to address challenges and share insights.Performance Tracking and Reporting:Support the development of performance metrics and evaluation processes for programs under MUSC Health and various clients.Prepare reports for ICCE Leadership, highlighting program effectiveness and suggesting areas for improvement.Prepare and present information on behalf of the ICCE Leadership as directed.Resource Coordination:Assist ICCE Leadership in the development of business plans, proformas, and budgets for the SOWs in conjunction with other project teams such as finance and revenue cycle.Assist in budget management and resource allocation for SOWs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Work closely with the finance team to track expenditures and reimbursements related to joint initiatives.Process Improvement:Identify operational challenges and recommend innovative solutions to ICCE Leadership to enhance efficiency within collaborative efforts.Engage with team members to solicit feedback and propose enhancements to operational workflows.Collaboration on Strategic Initiatives:Participate as needed in Joint Operating Committee and Operations Committee meetings, contributing to the development of strategic plans and objectives.Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth integration of clinical goals and operational strategies.Team Leadership and Development:Support the SAO in leading the operations team, contributing to staff development and performance management.Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the operations unit.Interact with diverse levels of leaders demonstrating strong negotiation and facilitation skills and a proven ability to consult with executive levels of management as needed.Travel:Travel throughout the regional health network and client locations to support the ICCE Leadership with operations, tracking and monitoring of correctional units, SOWs and contracts.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, business administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Relevant experience in healthcare operations, particularly within a collaborative framework.Strong analytical skills with a focus on performance metrics and reporting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for relationship building.Relevant experience building and maintaining client relationships.Skills:Proficient in project management and strategic planning.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Knowledge of SCDC processes and healthcare operations is a plus.Knowledge of the VA processes and healthcare operations is a plus.This position is vital in enhancing the operational synergy between the VA and MUSC Health as well as correctional healthcare clients and MUSC Health, supporting the overarching mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services through collaboration and innovation.Additional Job DescriptionEducation: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: 9 years progressive work experience and 4 years management experience.If you like working with energetic enthusiastic individuals, you will enjoy your career with us!The Medical University of South Carolina is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
