Director of Operations - Simulacra : Job Details

Join a top Warehouse / Distribution / Storage company in Chicago who is looking for a Director of Operations. You will be responsible for leading the company's P&L and day-to-day business operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and train warehouse staff, supervisors, and operations teams
• Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize storage and warehouse efficiency
• Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives by analyzing operational inefficiencies and introducing process improvements, automation, or vendor negotiations to optimize expenses
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations (OSHA, HACCP, and FDA), company policies, and industry standards
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess productivity and operational effectiveness
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, etc.)
• 5-10 years of experience in Warehouse / Distribution / Storage
• ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and WMS (Warehouse Management System)
• Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement experience
• Certifications preferred (Six Sigma, APICS)
• Union experience (preferred)
