Job Responsibilities
* Ensure that each EE operated Facility is operated and maintained in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
* Provide supervision, leadership, coaching, training, and development opportunities for the Facility Management to ensure skillsets are maintained
* Implement and schedule training programs that cover operations, maintenance, safety, and regulatory areas
* Become familiar with the O&M Agreements for each facility and ensure that the terms of each agreement are followed and satisfied
* Ensure all reports and information required under the terms of the O&M contract are prepared and submitted in a timely manner
* Support EE O&M policy development and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and commercial commitment
* Implement programs and activities that provides for a work environment that promotes effective goal accomplishment, productivity, and morale
* Establish regular communications with Facility Owners to discuss plant performance and problem resolution
* Schedule periodic meeting with Owners as per the O&M Agreements
* Collect and/or review regional O&M financial and HS&E performance looking for trends that would allow proactive implementation of countermeasures
* Participate in EE O&M business development meetings and activities
* Help prepare O&M proposals for new projects and help identify potential business opportunities
* Implement process improvements within EE O&M and help identify and track key performance indicators at both the plant level and the corporate level
* Special projects as assigned
Required Skills / Knowledge
* A thorough demonstrated understanding of power plant operations, including a working knowledge of the operations & maintenance functions
* A thorough, demonstrated knowledge of energy facility operations, O&M contracts and management methods are necessary to control and improve the business
* A working knowledge of chemistry as it relates to plant operations as well as environmental and water treatment programs and statutory regulations
* Understand budgets, bid proposals contract evaluation and basic accounting principals, plant economics and power pool operations.
* Analyzes and interprets data to make sound professional judgments and recommendations.
* Ability to manage and motivate subordinates.
* Extensive travel is required to meet with Plant Managers and Owner Representatives
Experience
* A minimum of ten years of power plant O&M with a minimum of eight years in a plant or corporate management position.
Education Requirements
* A four-year degree or commensurate experience is required as well as a demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to do walking, reaching, climbing, and stooping and lifting (up to 50 pounds). #LI-Remote
