Director of People Operations (Missoula, MT)The Director of People Operations (DPO) is responsible for ensuring the company's human resource practices are sound, aligned with the culture and values of the company, and executed to promote high engagement and performance of Complexly's most important asset - our employees. The DPO oversees the People Operations team and all People Operations team functions, reports to the CEO, and works closely with management at all levels to accomplish Complexly's goals through its people.As the leader of people operations, the DPO will work closely with senior leadership and their teams to improve work relationships, build morale, foster our culture, and engage our team of 85 employees. Successful leadership in this role will be evidenced through improvements in Complexly's People Operation's systems and compliance, retention of key talent, expansion of diverse teams, and strong managers.More details on the position:Job Title: Director of People OperationsStatus: Full-time, ExemptReports to: Chief Executive OfficerPay Range: $100,000-$120,000 DOELocation: Candidates based in Missoula, MT are preferred.   • Conducts environmental scanning of external HR and employment trends, offering insight and guidance on how to apply key learnings to Complexly's compensation and training/development strategies to promote staff engagement, retention, and advancement.
  • Identifies key employment metrics and ensures the HR department tracks and analyzes them to create and evaluate responses to key metrics.
  • Manages People Operations team members. Oversees the training and development of their direct reports and their team as a whole.
  • Oversees all HR Processes, including: staffing; performance management; compensation and benefits; training and development; employee relations; health, safety, and security; and HR Research. Administers processes as necessary.
  • Provides high-level HR guidance to supervisors, including coaching, management trainings, and mentorship.
  • Oversees annual renewal of insurance packages (Health, EPL, Worker's Comp, others if necessary).
  • Manages budgeting processes for professional development, hiring, and other areas assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.We want to hear from you if you have:
    • 8-10 years previous experience in Human Resources in HR Generalist, Business Partner, or Leadership roles required.
    • Extensive HR and employment law knowledge required including ACA, ADA/FMLA, and ERISA required.
    • Previous HR leadership experience required.
    • Previous experience with O1 Visa Application and Renewal Preferred.
    • Previous experience with Rippling HRIS Preferred.
