Position Summary: The Director of Permanency Services monitors and improves the delivery of permanency services provided by KVC Kansas employees.

Location: Topeka

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college/university in the field of social work or related field.

Experience: At least three years of experience in child welfare.

Licensure/Certification: Driver's license and auto insurance.

Essential Duties:

  • Build a safe, secure, and family-centered child welfare system connected to the community, using evidence-based practices.
  • Available 24/7 to support Permanency staff, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and contract terms.
  • Responsible for staff performance, paperwork, and meeting timelines.
  • Participates in meetings, court hearings, and consultations, and provides culturally sensitive, strengths-based feedback to clients and staff.
  • Supervises Social Work interns, manages relationships with DCF, Court, and partners, and monitors program budgets.
  • Oversees staff meetings, case supervision, performance appraisals, and staff morale, while providing necessary training and support.
