Director of Plant Operations
As the Director of Plant Operations, you will oversee the company's largest manufacturing facility. This fast-paced, high-volume plant requires a strategic leader focused on enhancing production efficiency, fostering a safety-first culture, and driving EBITDA growth. The ideal candidate will have experience managing plastics manufacturing facilities with 300+ employees, building a high-performance, safety-oriented environment that encourages employee engagement and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing team that promotes continuous improvement and accountability. Drive employee engagement to create a positive, inclusive work environment.
- Implement Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, utilizing Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes and minimize waste.
- Champion a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Oversee P&L management, seeking opportunities to enhance profitability without compromising safety or quality. Use financial insights to guide operational improvements and strategic decisions.
- Prepare and deliver detailed performance reports, contributing to ongoing improvement strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of five years' plant leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility, managing 300+ employees.
- Proven experience managing large facilities, successfully implementing CI and Six Sigma practices.
- Strong background in creating and sustaining a safety-oriented culture.
- Demonstrated expertise in P&L management, driving operational efficiency, and boosting profitability.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This is a nationwide search, so the position might not be posted in its exact location. However, it does require on-site presence. There is an excellent relocation package available to support the move.
