Sioux Falls, SD Full-time $130,000.00 - $200,000.00Posted 11/05/2024Director of Pre-ConstructionPosition Overview The Director of Pre-Construction is responsible for overseeing the pre-construction phase of projects, ensuring that all design, engineering, and budgeting processes are completed efficiently and effectively. This role involves collaboration with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop project plans that are compliant with building codes and regulations while also meeting the clients needs and expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the pre-construction team, providing guidance and support throughout the process.Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop project designs that meet both client specifications and code compliance standards.Review and analyze construction documents for accuracy and completeness before project initiation.Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring that all pre-construction activities are aligned with project timelines.Conduct risk assessments and feasibility studies to identify potential challenges and solutions during the construction phase.Interface with clients, stakeholders, and vendors to communicate project goals and requirements effectively.Oversee the selection and management of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications.QualificationsBachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.Registered Architect or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is highly desirable.Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management or pre-construction roles, with at least 5 years in a director-level position.Strong knowledge of building systems, construction delivery methods, and code compliance regulations.Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects from inception to completion.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Benefits Competitive Salary Comprehensive Health BenefitsGenerous PTO + Holiday Time Off401(k) Retirement PlanProfessional Development OpportunitiesFor this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.Preferred SkillsBuilding SystemsRegistered Architectdirector of preconstructionProfessional EngineerPEConstructionCode Compliancedelivery methods
