The Role:

Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain, the Director of Procurement will oversee procurement and materials management, leading a team of approximately 20 professionals. This pivotal role emphasizes strategic contract negotiation, vendor relationship management, and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships and negotiate critical contracts, including those for solid fuel, mining explosives, and industrial repair parts.
  • Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, ensuring quality and cost efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive contract management system.
  • Stay informed on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of procurement leadership experience, preferably in industries such as chemicals, oil, or gas.
  • Demonstrated success in contract negotiation, vendor management, and strategic sourcing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software tools.
