Greylock Energy is actively seeking a Director of Production, who will report to the Vice President of Production. This dynamic and motivated professional will manage the operations of producing wells and assets in our Rockies Divisions in Utah and Wyoming. This high-impact leader will direct a dispersed team of superintendents, foremen, technicians, and operators, and will closely coordinate with other departments to safely and responsibly manage an 8-figure profit-and-loss operating business.

This role will require a strong presence in Greylock's corporate office in Charleston, West Virginia for a minimum of six months as you become acclimated to Greylock's values and culture, and begin establishing key departmental relationships. The role will eventually transition to Greylock's Rockies Division and be based out of Vernal, Utah; Big Piney, Wyoming; or other strategic location accessible to both locations, requiring 3 to 4 days per week alternating between the two field offices.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to effectively perform the following duties:

  • Ethically, profitably, and lawfully produce natural gas and oil by leading a team of field-based and office-based professionals.
  • Foster a culture that reinforces and provides accountability around: Integrity, Excellence, Collaboration, Empowerment, and Humility. Closely monitor and manage morale.
  • Support success of the entire enterprise by ensuring your team exceeds goals on safety, environmental impact, production volumes, and field expenses.
  • Prepare annual budgets and assist in setting production goals. Measure results to achieve success against approved budgets and key performance indicators, and through innovation and efficiency find both production enhancements and cost savings.
  • Responsible for hiring, promoting, and developing team members; evaluating employee performance, mentoring team members, administering discipline, as well as any other personnel management functions.
  • Encourage the development of staff by providing timely feedback, encouragement, development and/or coaching opportunities, providing technical training, and setting high standards.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance best practices are implemented. Developing continuous improvement in efficiency, technology and operational practices. Engage in industry associations/coalitions to remain current.
  • Report on the status of operations to the company as part of large group updates and communicating with multiple levels of management, including the CEO.
  • Contribute to strategic planning in collaboration with fellow leaders as part of a leadership cohort.
  • Propose and track capital projects for workover, site work, and capital maintenance.
  • Build trust throughout the organization with senior management, peers, and individual contributors.
  • Review and approve invoices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of oil and gas experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years management experience with demonstrated skills leading field-based employees, office-based employees, and contractors is required.
  • Significant knowledge of well and pipeline operations to include land, permitting, compliance, reservoir behavior, production engineering, production accounting, midstream/gathering processes, pipeline construction, and oil and gas facility function is required.
  • A valid drivers' license is required.
