The Quality Director will oversee all quality assurance and quality control activities within the organization, ensuring our products meet the highest industry standards and regulatory compliance. This role is critical in driving continuous improvement and maintaining brand integrity with the contract manufacturers.

Description
Quality Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality strategy aligned with the company's goals and vision.
- Lead and mentor the quality assurance and quality control teams to ensure operational excellence.
- Serve as the primary advocate for quality across the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Quality Systems Management
- Establish, monitor, and maintain robust quality management systems (QMS) compliant with industry regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO, GMP).
- Ensure all products meet or exceed internal and external quality standards.
- Oversee documentation, audits, and certifications related to quality processes.
Regulatory Compliance
- Stay informed about global beauty industry regulations and ensure compliance for all products.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and packaging teams to align product development with regulatory standards.
- Lead external audits and liaise with regulatory bodies as needed.
Supplier & Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain quality standards for raw materials and finished goods sourced from suppliers.
- Conduct supplier audits and manage corrective actions to address quality concerns.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure supplier quality aligns with company standards.
Product Testing & Release
- Oversee quality control processes, including raw material testing, in-process inspections, and final product release.
- Manage risk assessments and root cause analyses for quality issues.
- Drive initiatives to reduce product defects and enhance customer satisfaction.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with R&D, Operations, and Marketing to ensure quality considerations are integrated into new product launches.
- Provide guidance on packaging, labeling, and storage requirements to maintain product integrity.
- Collaborate with customer service to address quality-related feedback and complaints.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in quality assurance/quality control, preferably within the beauty, cosmetics, or personal care industries.
- Proven track record of implementing and managing QMS in a regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and FDA regulations related to beauty and personal care products.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional teams.
- Able to travel 20-30%
