Seeking a Recreation Director who will focus primarily on providing exceptional service to our members at the gym, locker rooms, pool and kids club. How our Director will make our members experience exceptional... Essential Responsibilities
- Lead the recreation department with enthusiasm
- Collaborate with other departments for smooth operations
- Train and supervise a team dedicated to excellence
- Design and execute engaging programs for our members including day camps and special events
- Monitor and control departmental expenses and payroll.
- Monitor and maintain the highest level of cleanliness and orderliness of the gym, locker rooms, pool and kids club
- Assist in ordering equipment and supplies and maintain inventory control for the department
- Ensures members receive outstanding, consistent, exceptional service. Seeks opportunities to improve satisfaction and immediately handles any member concerns or complaints. Takes corrective action as needed.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures. Reports potential safety issues whenever observed and takes immediate action to resolve.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management or related field desired 2. Three or more years related recreation experience as a Director or Manager required, preferably in a Club or Resort setting. 3. Inspiring leadership for building and managing a motivated team 4. Able to use mathematics to solve problems. 5. Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Requires attention to detail. Must be able to solve problems and remain calm and alert if dealing with difficult Member, during busy activity periods or in an emergency. 6. Requires computer skills to enter data, read, and interpret information. 7. Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks. 8. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, Team Members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property. Work schedules will include working on holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
