As Rooms Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all front office, housekeeping, loss prevention and inventory operations to ensure profitability, control costs and quality standards to ensure total guest satisfaction.

What you will be doing:
- Lead Rooms departments to ensure quality guest service, maximize room revenue, and develop staff.
- Oversee front office, housekeeping, reservations, and loss prevention operations, ensuring compliance with Marriott and Marcus guidelines.
- Manage and motivate staff, overseeing training, scheduling, and performance to maintain service standards and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure cleanliness of guest areas and high service levels from housekeeping staff according to company standards.
- Assist in oversight of the Safety Committee program and Safety Audit Process.
- Monitor financial performance, controlling payroll and expenses to align with budget and business needs.
- Improve guest and associate satisfaction metrics, focusing on retention and internal promotions.
- Participate in strategic meetings, forecasting, and scheduling to support business goals.
- Address guest complaints promptly and resolve issues to completion.
- Assist in developing and managing the annual hotel budget, action plans, and safety programs.
- Maintain strong communication with guests and staff while representing the hotel professionally.
- Participate in Manager on Duty program requiring weekend stayover, constant monitoring throughout hotel and troubleshooting problems.
- Perform all other related duties and special projects as requested and/or assigned.
What we are looking for:
- 2-4 years of experience in Rooms Operations (Housekeeping, Front Office) in a luxury hotel, with prior housekeeping leadership/management experience.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in hospitality preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of all housekeeping procedures and proficient in hotel registration, reservation, and backup computer systems.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret statistical data and apply mathematical concepts to hotel operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in English, additional languages preferred.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with the capacity to develop staff for advancement.
- Ability to handle customer conflicts with patience, tact, and diplomacy.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays, while maintaining professionalism and physical stamina for inspections.
- CPR Certification and/or First Aid Training preferred.
