The resort features 37 stylish two-bedroom villa-condos with gourmet kitchens, a 50-slip marina offering a variety of water activities, the French-inspired onsite restaurant, Chateau Anna Maria, and a resort-style swimming pool with an oversized sun deck extending into the marina.The Director of Rooms is a unique position responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of Waterline Villas & Marina; They will be responsible for Concierge Services, Front Desk, Room Inspections, as well as Property Maintenance and upkeep.What you have
  • Experience in vacation rental systems, or hospitality related maintenance field
  • Excellent communication skills, in written and verbal formats
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Local area knowledge
  • Technology skills. The ability to use tablets, iPads, and computers
  • Eagerness to work on a team and achieve goals and complete projects together
  • Basic knowledge in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, electronic systems, fire alarm systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, and energy conservation.
  • Ability to work long hours if needed
  • A strong sense of ownership in everything that you do
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record
  • High school diploma, equivalent, or higher
What you'll do
  • Handle and complete guest requests in a timely fashion
  • Do periodic property tours and exterior perimeter for debris and trash removal, lighting examination, and landscaping checkup
  • Report emergencies and safety hazard immediately and assist with safety concerns
  • Assist with concierge services and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Assist with coordination of vendors including but not limited to repairs, scheduled maintenance, and housekeeping services.
  • Daily use of Property Management systems including Escapia, PointCentral and Breezeway
  • Keep property grounds clean and well maintained
  • Keep interior property clean and well maintained
  • Communication with guests and property owners
  • Actively engage and promote safety and safe work practices, interdepartmentally and hotel wide
  • Communicate daily activities and work orders to other shifts using approved communication methods and standards
  • Conduct daily inspections for all arriving guests
  • Maintain Open communication with Mainsail Reservations Department
  • Assist guests with recreational activities including but not limited to beach chair setup, paddle boards, bike rentals, and kayak rentals
  • Interact with hotel guests to resolve maintenance issues in a professional and courteous matter that is align with Mainsail standards
  • Retain detailed inventory of all needed housekeeping supplies and amenities for monthly/quarterly ordering
  • Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all personnel according to progressive discipline guidelines
  • Comply with Mainsail Lodging and Development's standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
  • Direct Reports will include but not limited to: Maintenance Technicians, Outsourced Housekeeping Company
  • Other necessary duties as assigned by reasonably assigned
Physical Demand
