Our client, a high-end Skincare brand, is looking for an experienced Director of Sales and Education to join their team!

In this role you will be driving sales and imparting knowledge and enthusiasm about our company, brands, and products to our partners, in-store teams, and beauty experts. You are a high-energy, proactive, sales-driven, educational leader with a client-centric and business mindset. The role will also be multifaceted, involving both strategic planning and hands-on execution to ensure that the field education and selling initiatives align with the company's goals and enhance the client experience.

Location: Remote with extensive travelSalary: Up to $130K

What You Will Do:As the Director of Sales + Education, you will drive brand development at North America retailers, achieving sales targets and executing marketing + event initiatives to boost retail sales. You will also lead the creation, development, and execution of the beauty education program for North America retail partners and stores.

  • Build comprehensive educational programs that cover various aspects of brand, beauty, product knowledge, selling techniques, luxury clienteling, spa services and techniques, and retail counter/activation/pop-up operations.
  • Work closely with our merchants and brand partners to develop and implement educational content and unique learning experiences to enhance product knowledge, ability to drive sales, and increase client conversion.
  • Design education materials that cater to all learning styles – including manuals, videos, and presentations that complement and support our education programs.
  • Strategize, calendar, and implement training sessions for retail store partners, including office teams, beauty experts, and store managers, to ensure they have in-depth product knowledge and can provide excellent client service.
  • Collaborate on new hire onboarding processes (internal team and external freelancers), as well as new store opening trainings for our retail partners.
  • Responsible for driving sales and executing strategies and initiatives within each retailer to ensure the achievement of the sales plan.
  • Set and track sales budgets and productivity targets by retailer, by store.
  • Plan and execute events to increase brand visibility and drive sales, ensuring strategic participation.
  • Strengthen brand identity in stores by maintaining merchandising standards in-store, ensuring impeccable visual presentation to uphold brand integrity and enhance customer experience.
  • Collaborate with store teams to assess brand performance, set goals, and drive improvements, fostering strong retail partnerships.
  • Support marketing team on relevant PR/Influencer events.
  • Meet all deadlines for requests including calendars, expenses, and event recaps. Understand retail partner protocols, support, and adhere to their policies.
  • Leadership and Team Management:• Responsible for recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and retaining productive freelance teams (where applicable)• Set clear goals, delegate tasks, and foster a collaborative work environment to drive success• Develop and maintain strong, credible relationships with all levels of the organization• Encourage and foster field environments conducive to brand love and sales growth• Achieve and adhere to budgetary spend commitments: financial responsibility inclusive of travel and expense, freelance spend and measurable to preserve profitability and secure bottom line• Develop and implement a comprehensive education strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives• Work closely and cross-functionally with the appropriate partners from concept to execution• Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate sales + education initiatives into broader business plans and initiatives.• Cultivate retailer partnerships to achieve our ranking goals by store• Use data and analytics to help inform the sales + education program and strategy

    Who You Are:• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent.• Extensive experience with 8-10 years in sales + education, training leadership, or related roles within the beauty industry, preferably within skincare brands and big beauty retailers.• Proven leadership experience, with a track record of driving sales results and leading high-performing teams.• Experience building brand and product training curriculum, with the ability to implement impactful training experiences.• Experience in designing training materials, conducting workshops, and evaluating learning outcomes is beneficial.• Demonstrated passion for beauty retail, training, selling, and building relationships.• Capability to think strategically, with a deep understanding of the current beauty industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are vital for success.• Excellent retail selling and education background, with a proven track record and experience hosting beauty retail events.• Professional conduct in-store & demonstrated team player.• Demonstrated ability to drive sales through fostering relationships and providing exceptional customer service.• Ability to work collaboratively and build positive/effective business partnerships.• Ability to interact with all levels of management in a fast-paced, high-growth, changing environment.• Ability to work independently to prioritize and achieve results.• Must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.• Effective planning, organizational, and time management skills.• Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills.• Able to stand for up to 8 hours.• Ability to travel up to 75%.• Must have a Valid Driver's License.• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
