Rapidly growing, leading manufacturer of natural dairy flavors and ingredients for some of the world's largest food and beverage manufacturers, including nutritional, shelf-stable, frozen, bakery, dairy, confectionery, and snack foods. Newly created position! Key Responsibilities and Goals:
- Sales Leadership & Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth across existing and new markets. Lead the sales team to achieve annual revenue and profit goals.
- Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within dairy, enzyme-modified ingredients, and compound flavors, focusing on both domestic and international markets.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, partners, and distributors. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Collaboration with R&D: Work closely with the Research and Development team to align sales strategies with product innovations and market demands, ensuring the Company remains at the forefront of dairy flavor and ingredient development.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team, creating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Support team members in achieving their individual goals while fostering a people-first culture.
- Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Analyze market trends, sales data, and customer feedback to forecast sales performance and present regular reports to the executive team. Provide actionable insights to adjust sales strategies as needed.
Competencies Needed for Success:
- 5+ years of relevant sales leadership experience with dairy ingredients and flavors.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth in niche or specialized industries.
- Strong technical background in dairy, food science, or flavor manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with dairy, cheese concentrates, or functional ingredients is a plus.
- Ability to inspire, lead, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, production, and executive leadership
- Demonstrated experience in building long-term customer relationships.
- Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing market dynamics.
- Experience in international sales and expansion is preferred.
