Overview

Bioforum the Data Masters, a global leader in biometric services and solutions for the clinical research industry, is seeking a results-oriented Director of Sales to drive business growth in North America. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire sales process, from identifying leads to creating new business opportunities and building strong client relationships. This critical role will help expand Bioforum's footprint and position the company as the preferred partner for clinical trial sponsors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership: Develop and implement a sales strategy targeting clinical trial sponsors and potential partners and own the entire sales process, including lead generation, client engagement, and opportunity creation, to drive revenue growth.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct research to identify trends, target customers, and growth opportunities in the clinical research space.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and generate new sales leads through a variety of channels such as cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and leveraging existing professional networks. Ensure consistent efforts to build a pipeline of potential clients.
  • Lead Qualification: Evaluate and qualify leads based on key criteria such as budget, decision-making authority, timeline, and alignment with Bioforum's solutions. Prioritize high-potential prospects to ensure a focus on opportunities most likely to convert into sales.
  • Consultative Selling: Engage with prospective clients to understand their needs, present tailored solutions, and position Bioforum as their trusted partner for biometric services.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term collaboration.
  • Industry Representation: Actively participate in conferences, networking events, and others to represent Bioforum and generate leads.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, account management, and operational teams to ensure alignment on client needs and sales initiatives.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of sales activities in the CRM system and provide management with regular updates on progress and performance.

Qualifications

  • Biometrics CRO Experience: A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the clinical research industry, with at least 2 years in a biometrics CRO.
  • Proven Success: Demonstrated ability to drive new business opportunities and meet or exceed sales targets, particularly in biometric services such as data management, statistical programming, and biostatistics.
  • Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the life sciences industry, including clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and drug development processes.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related field.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, networking, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technology Proficiency: Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 20% for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
