POSITION: Director of SalesJOB SUMMARYThe Director of Sales is responsible for revenue production for hotels, meeting or exceeding planned revenue objectives for occupancy and average daily rate (ADR). This role requires a sales mindset and the ability to sell the 'product' effectively.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct the day-to-day activities of the sales department; plan, organize, and assign work; develop strategies and goals; train the team; secure new clients; maintain existing clients; maximize profitability; follow up on leads.
- Increase profitable sales volume; ensure complete client communications; develop marketing and sales strategy; analyze market trends; maintain and increase revenue and market share.
- Prepare departmental budget; forecast occupancy fluctuations; achieve revenue goals through various sales strategies.
- Support Guest Services; respond to guest needs; execute business booked.
- Perform other tasks to meet guest satisfaction.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCEHigh school graduate or equivalent with two to three years of sales experience; one year of progressive Sales experience.INDUSTRY EXPERIENCEPrevious experience in the hospitality industry (preferred); experience in hospitality sales policies and procedures (preferred).REQUIRED SKILLSMust be able to travel up to 20%; persuasive interpersonal skills; self-directed; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; flexibility in schedules; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to multi-task and problem-solve.ESSENTIAL SKILLS
