Under occasional supervision, direct the sales program at the retirement community and disseminate information to the public regarding the community. Perform sales functions which includes but limited to finding and following up on leads, interviewing potential residents, providing information and selling vacant apartments. Accountable to meet budgeted calls, appointments and sales goals for self and team. Supervise the team members of the community sales department.
POSITION CLASSIFICATION. Exempt. Regular Full-Time.
Annual Salary: $70,000 to $106,000, depending on experience. $3,000 sign on bonus!
Key duties and responsibilities of the Director of Sales includes, but may not be limited to:
- Managing and coordinating the work of the sales team.
- Directing sales team to ensure prompt responses to information inquiries; recording prospect profiles in lead tracking software; inviting prospects to tour the community; eliciting residency applications; assisting applicants in the process of making the transition to residential community life; and maintaining contact with prospective residents.
- Developing and implementing short and long-term sales plans for Independent Living.
- Modifying community-specific marketing and census development plans as needed, including reviewing supply and demand of inventory and incentive development.
- Nurturing referral and networking relationships through an aggressive, customer-oriented sales process.
- Handling prospect tours, appointments, contract signings and deposit process for prospects.
- Evaluating financial eligibility of prospective residents.
- Monitoring occupancy and manages the process of reserving available inventory.
- Producing and distributing lead and sales reports.
- Overseeing sales events, move-in coordination, and support services.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education –
- High school diploma with some vocational or college course work in business, marketing or a related field; a bachelor's degree in marketing, social sciences, business or a related field preferred
Experience/Training –
- Five [5] years of related experience, a bachelor's degree in marketing, social sciences, business or a related field may be substituted for three of the years of experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Valid driver's license
- First Aid and CPR certification through the American Red Cross
