Job Description :

Release is a rapidly growing wellness center and spa. Our highly successful and innovative center in Westborough opened in early 2017 and we will open a second location in Boston in the beautiful Heritage on the Garden building in the fall of 2023. We are seeking our next Director of Spa to lead our operation in Westborough and open and ultimately manage our new location in Boston.

The Director of Spa provides leadership and support to the Release team to fulfill our mission to support guests on their well-being journeys. Partnering with the Release leadership team, this position will develop and implement a strategic plan designed to ensure the quality and consistency of spa operations and offerings while meeting the financial goals of the organization. The Director o f Spa will work closely with leaders and team to ensure that our guests receive a 5 star experience each time they visit Release.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has at least 5 years experience working in a spa, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity
  • Excels in a fast-paced and diverse environment, and exhibits grace under pressure
  • Is open to receiving and providing feedback
  • Makes decisions using good judgment and by using the Release mission, core values, and policies as guideposts
  • Is highly organized, able to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Will help build the Release brand and culture

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Hir e, train and supervise the spa team
  • Work with leaders of each group to meet organization and group goals for revenue, net performance, customer satisfaction and staffing
  • Work with teams to measure and continually im prov e member/guest engagement and experience
  • Develop consistent policies, protocols and procedures and consistently hold the team accountable to upholding them
  • Refine offerings by adding new or discontinuing existing services to maintain a strong menu of products and services that are on brand, provide variety, current with trends, and that we can deliver consistently at a high level
  • Maintain a safe and compliant environment
  • Ho ld/oversee s taff meetings and maintain frequent and open communication to keep staff up-to-date on all aspects of Release s operati on
  • Repres ent Release to members and the community in a professional and positive manner
  • Assist in the opening of the Release Boston location - including the planning and implementation of services, the hiring and training of a team, assist in the process of licensing, and other assignments as needed

Compensation

  • Competitive salary based on experience range $60K - $80K plus incentive plan

Location

  • Must be able to travel to both Release locations. The first several months will be spent at the Westborough location to learn the business and training; with time split between both locations as the Boston opening nears and after the opening.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year

  • Paid time off

Shift:

  • 8 hour shift

Weekly day range:

  • Mon day to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commut e/relocate:

  • Boston, MA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
