This role will be based in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, New York, Chicago or Bellevue.

The Director of Strategic Planning & Initiatives – Global Strategy & Operations will play a key role in defining future-state business processes and driving transformational initiatives for our LinkedIn Marketing Solutions business. This newly created role will be responsible for building and leading our Strategic Initiatives, Vendor Strategy, and Strategic planning teams. These teams will support our Sales Leadership with centralized business processes and transformational Go-To-Market initiatives to sustainably grow our Media business. This leader will be responsible for owning relationships with key partners in Sales, Business Operations, and Sales Operations Leaders.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional collaboration and problem-solving skills and be comfortable interacting with all levels and functions, including Executive Management, Finance, Product, Engineering, Business Operations, and Sales Operations leaders and colleagues.

Using strong communication skills, the Global Director will effectively collaborate with a variety of people and job functions across all geographies, accomplishing tasks of moderate to high complexity and scope, and can perform in a challenging and fast-paced environment. The Global Director will also be responsible for building and developing a top-caliber, diverse team.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive and refine ongoing processes to deliver results through vendors, business processes, and program management in collaboration with the business.
  • Own critical relationships across Sales Operations, Sales, and Finance and champion the needs of the global, media business.
  • Own prioritization and gain alignment on recommendations for transformation initiatives and vendors, recognizing business requirements, critical timelines, and tradeoffs.
  • Prepare compelling exec communications (e.g., bi-weekly exec updates, exec presentations, quarterly business reviews) that enables effective decision making in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
  • Work with cross-functional partners and key stakeholders to centralize core processes and drive continuous improvement via pulling different levers in short- or long-term, resulting in clear ROI and leverage for our global teams.
  • Develop and set targets for measures of team success instilling best practices.
  • Inspire excellence through example, coaching, developing and coaching others; foster a positive and values-driven team culture.
  • Basic Qualifications:

    • 10+ years' work experience in management consulting, sales, strategy, operations, or finance
    • 5+ years' experience managing people

    Preferred Requirements:

    • MBA
    • Strong communication skills, including written and verbal communication experience with senior leadership.
    • Ability to visually present and communicate data, analyses and findings with senior leadership
    • Experience working in high-growth, performance focused environments.
    • Excellent collaboration, influence, organizational, and program management skills
    • Ability to define ambiguous problems and drive towards outcomes

    LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is US $171,000 to US $278,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
