Role: Integral part of the Leadership Team that manages the day-to-day operations of the Wellness component of the community to ensure the maximum levels of resident functional ability, safety and wellbeing. Responsibilities:

• Perform continuous, ongoing supervision of all wellness department team members, including but not limited to recruiting, retaining, training, disciplining, counseling, motivating, scheduling and evaluating; establishes and builds rapport among team members to facilitate teamwork.
• Observe patients/residents under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications, etc.; Monitor and record vital signs; Administers prescribed medications, injections, wound care, collect lab samples and other basic medical care tasks; Provides assistance as necessary with activities of daily living
• Coordinates and implements regularly scheduled wellness meetings; ensures compliance of Wellness Department relative to federal, state, local and company regulations and policies
• Maintain liaison role by ensuring effective communication with other members of the team, residents, families and medical professionals
• Responsible for reporting on operation of Wellness Department to ensure continuity of care; keeping department on budget within established guidelines and submits recommendations for budget completion, equipment and supplies

Requirements: RN or LPN (Required)BLS Certification (Preferred, not required) Familiarity with hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards and proceduresExcellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology Why Juniper?
