Job Title: Director of Workplace Dining Sales

FLSA: Exempt Status: Full Time

Reports to: VP of Sales

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Workplace Dining Sales with a proven track record in driving sales growth within the workplace dining sector. The ideal candidate will be a motivated go-getter with extensive experience in sales, particularly in the realm of workplace dining. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, this role will play a pivotal part in spearheading our sales efforts and achieving aggressive growth targets in the workplace dining segment for the upcoming year.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans focused on driving revenue growth within the workplace dining sector.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the workplace dining market, leveraging industry contacts and network by joining associations and community efforts to expand our client base.
  • Monitor the establishment, development and enhancement of customer relationships. Create a culture of no client should be a one-time client.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target companies, showcasing our value proposition and securing new business partnerships.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing Workplace Dining team, providing guidance and support to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify areas for growth and develop proactive sales strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop tailored sales strategies and campaigns to effectively target the workplace dining market.
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure we are providing the highest level of customer service and an outstanding product that meets our client's needs.
  • Collaborate with the Culinary in the development of quality, creative and timely presentations, tastings and proposals.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the VP of Sales on sales performance, market insights, and growth opportunities within the Workplace dining segment.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Workplace dining team, implementing best practices and processes to optimize sales effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Maintain an exemplary level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues.
  • Develop a holistic understanding of the Blue Plate Vision.
  • Other relevant tasks as needed.
  • Requirements

    Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of comprehensive and progressive experience within the hospitality industry.
  • Executive-level leadership experience to include development of strategic plans for both operations and new business development.
  • Previous experience executing business expansion plans to include new products, services and markets.

  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.
  • Proven leadership with the ability to inspire others to work toward a common goal and reach their potential.
  • Strong business acumen with advanced knowledge of financial management disciplines to include but not limited to – P&L, budget design and management, financial analysis, and ROI.
  • Ability to manage confidential information and maintain its integrity.
  • Proven ability to influence thinking, and apply complicated strategies.
  • Proven business development, and negotiation experience.
  • Strong computer skills that include proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Language Skills

    Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently. Bilingual skills preferred.
