There's no better place to define your expertise while working with a team that's defining national standards.In this role, the Oncology Director, working with site specific directors, plans, implements, monitors, and improves drug preparation and distribution processes across 10 hospital sites. They will help support the current and future growth of oncology and infusion. This leader supports the objective of delivering safe, cost-effective and optimal medication therapy. They will collaborate with the acute care and infusion pharmacy leadership team, service line leadership, nursing, and medical leadership in support of optimal patient care. The director will coordinate all oncology and infusion pharmacy services and programs. Director will be responsible for creating the vision, strategy and direction for pharmacy oncology and infusion areas. Implements programs that improve pharmacy-based interventions focused on maximizing the quality of patient care and streamlining expenses.
Preferred Criteria:- Completion of an accredited Oncology Pharmacy Residency
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Director, Assistant Director or Pharmacy Management role
Required Criteria:- If have BS in Pharmacy; Related Masters or Doctoral Level Academic degree and/or Doctor of R 4 Pharmacy degree
- Knowledge in Specialty Area
- New York State licensure as a pharmacist or eligibility for New York State licensure required. Must receive New York State license within 3 months of employment. Pharmacists who are in the process of obtaining their New York State License through reciprocity may only engage in activities related to orientation, training, and project work.
- Minimum 3 years recent hospital/institutional experience or related experience in Ambulatory Infusion Center
