What you will do

As a Director, Consulting – Private Equity, Performance Improvement, you will lead high-impact projects that drive operational efficiencies and cost optimization across portfolio companies. You will work closely with private equity firms and executive leadership to identify value creation opportunities, implement strategic initiatives, and enhance overall performance. This role requires a deep understanding of procurement, supply chain, and operational improvement strategies, particularly in time-sensitive and high-stakes environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Value Creation & Operational Excellence: Lead performance improvement initiatives across private equity portfolio companies, optimizing costs, processes, and supply chain efficiencies.
  • Procurement & Sourcing Strategies: Identify savings opportunities, negotiate with key suppliers, and implement procurement best practices to enhance EBITDA.
  • Transformation & Change Management: Drive operational transformations, focusing on procurement, working capital improvement, and cost reduction strategies.
  • Stakeholder & Client Management: Engage with private equity clients, C-suite executives, and operational teams to align initiatives with business objectives.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics and market insights to assess procurement and operational opportunities, presenting clear recommendations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, operations, and procurement teams to drive holistic performance improvements.
  • Due Diligence & Assessments: Support private equity firms in pre-deal and post-merger integration activities, evaluating procurement and supply chain efficiencies.
What you should bring
  • 12+ years of consulting or mix of consulting & industry experience with a strong focus on procurement, supply chain, and operational improvements.
  • Deep expertise in private equity environments, particularly in performance improvement initiatives across portfolio companies.
  • Proven track record of driving cost reductions, operational efficiencies, and EBITDA improvements.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, with experience optimizing indirect and direct spend.
  • Experience with digital procurement tools and data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, including working with C-suite executives and investors.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
