Deliver merchandising strategies and product plans that achieve seasonal and long-range STRAT global footwear revenue growth and margin targets. Ensure product plan addresses vertical market end use , distribution channel, business to business, key partners/employers, regulatory, and Consumer needs. Create and communicate a vision for the brands/category. Work with Design, Development and Costing to achieve the right price-to-value relationship. Ensure an innovative approach to the business each season for applicable brand. Plan the appropriate style/SKU level to optimize productivity and deliver seasonal revenue contribution. Compile, analyze and monitor line performance (e.g., product life cycle, margin rates, etc.) recommend changes, modifications, improvements, or deletions based on market research, technical information and feedback; include competitor info where applicable Lead and manage the line planning, pricing and product creation process, including protection strategy, sizing strategy, flow plan and gross margin targets. Lead cross-functional teams through the decision-making processes encountered in product creation and demand creation. Effectively manage and resolve merchandising issues. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept 2 years of experience in the Technical Safety footwear industry.Must have 7 years of experience in the Technical Industrial Safety footwear industry in all of the following:
- Global industrial safety standards; specifically ASTM, CSA and EN ISO;
- Managing a full product lifecycle, concept to pre-production including design, engineering, sourcing and development team within the Technical Industrial Safety footwear industry;
- Developing and communicating a product strategy, and aligning it with the company's overall goals and vision;
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales and legal;
- Managing and building relationships with various stakeholders, including executives, customers, and partners;
- Working with large amounts of data, analyzing data and finding conclusions; and
- Developing and leading go to market strategy for new innovative products in the industrial/occupational footwear industry.
