The Role:

The Director is responsible for building and running a Professional Services and Product Support organization. The ideal candidate has solid experience in hands-on technical service delivery and product support (both software and hardware) and can build a team and processes to help scale the organization. This is a unique opportunity to craft a professional services and product support organization, building a team over time, while being hands-on in the day to day running of the business. The role will be located in our corporate headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver world class professional services and support experience for the customer.
  • Interact with customers and partners, and own issues with a detail-oriented focus on root cause/remedy.
  • Serve as the customer/partner voice internally.
  • Drive a continuous improvement process to evolve the organization and its ability to deliver world class professional services and product support.
  • Select, contract, and manage outside vendors as well as select and implement the tools that you and the professional services and support team will use.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science) and 7+ years of experience building and leading teams that deliver professional services and product support.
  • Professional services and product support experiences in companies that maintain virtualization clusters like VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, and/or RHEL virtualization and/or datacenter systems deployment including racking, stacking, and network configurations.
  • Technical professional services and product support experiences in customer-oriented troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and working with software OEMs to resolve issues.
  • Technical hands-on comfortability and troubleshooting skills with the following technologies:
  • Linux systems, including server configuration, virtualization, containers, and clustering,
  • High level IP networking, including switch, router, and firewall configuration,
  • Server HW, including component fault isolation and health monitoring.
  • Intelligent, diligent, excellent communicator, quick learner, strong commitment, and a team player.
  • Security clearance is a plus.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations.
