Group/Division Summary
The Pharma Services Group (PSG) is an industry leader for drug development, clinical trial logistics and bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing to customers of all sizes through our Patheon brand. With more than 55 locations globally, we provide our clients with coordinated, end-to-end capabilities through all phases of drug development, including API, biologics, viral vector services, formulation, clinical trial solutions, logistics services and commercial manufacturing.
The Biologics Business Unit within Pharma Services is one of the fastest growing areas and focuses on providing development and commercial scale services including multiple mammalian cell lines, for biopharmaceutical and biosimilar products. There are currently four sites where services are provided including St. Louis, USA, Lengnau, Switzerland, Groningen, Netherlands and Brisbane, Australia.
This position is based remotely in the US. Travel expectation will be 50%, including both domestic and international.
Position Summary
The Director, Business Development reports to the Vice President Sales and will have a multi-faceted role in our organization leading the global Biologics sales team with responsibility for driving organizational growth. In addition, this role serves as the key liaison with the Thermo Fisher Bio Production organization to identify harmonies and implement joint strategies and initiatives. This role will be part of the global Pharma Services Sales Leadership Team and be responsible for integration/OneSource programs in conjunction with the Sales Leaders for Drug Product Services (DPS).
