World Monuments Fund (WMF) seeks a qualified professional for the role of Director, Special Events. This individual is a key member of the Development team, overseeing the organization's fundraising, cultivation, and stewardship events while playing a critical role in WMF's 60th Anniversary Celebrations. Reporting to the Vice President of Development and Partnerships, this individual is responsible for successfully planning and executing WMF's annual Hadrian Gala, which raises more than $2M annually in support of the organization's general operations. In addition, the Director, Special Events will help develop and successfully implement at least (6) marquee dinners across the world in collaboration with WMF's affiliate offices and any consultants hired to assist with the planning and implementation. The Director will also work closely with the Senior Director, Institutional Giving in the creation and solicitation of corporate sponsorships. The ideal candidate is a team player who is flexible, positive, and creative. They will have a passion for communicating the organization's mission through engaging events while supporting the stewardship of WMF's donors.
This is a full-time, exempt position based at WMF's global headquarters in New York.

Compensation and BenefitsThe World Monuments Fund offers a comprehensive and highly competitive compensation and benefits package, including paid time off, wellness and sick time off, holiday time off, and a multitude of other insurance benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a fully comprehensive retirement plan.
The salary range for this position will be within the $115,000 to $125,000 range annually, based on commensurate experience.
