This is the first site in Costa Rica dedicated to producing implantable textile components, polymer-based devices and components, and single-use technologies and is set to open in early 2025. What we are looking for: The Director, Supply Chain and Logistics is a critical partner to the leaders and will lead the initiative to harmonize supply chain and logistic activities across the Solesis businesses.Areas of main focus includes procurement, inventory, vendor management and supplier controls, planning/scheduling and receiving and distribution. This role develops and implements a strategies aligned with company goals and market demands. What you will do:
- Develops the strategy for the supply chain team and the procurement of raw materials, sourcing of non-inventory and capital goods and services, the execution of the production plan according to volume and mix requirements, warehousing of raw materials and finished goods, and the shipment and distribution of Finished Goods.
- Develops and integrates metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of planning, purchasing, and logistics to the business
- Prepares, summarizes and presents data accuracy, delivery performance and other key metrics to assess performance, modify production plans and assess/prioritize focused improvement efforts.
- Identifies and manages process improvement projects that improve customer service levels, improve product flows, minimize supply chain costs and improve asset management.
- Works closely with sales, customer service ,operations, engineering and other departments as necessary to resolve issues
- Develops and maintains influential relationships across companies, cross-functional teams with key business partners.
- Develops and publishes KPI's as required for all inventory related metrics
- Establishes back up plans for scenarios related to potential changes in product offerings, customer volumes, manufacturing changes, etc.
- Identifies staffing requirements, participates in the selection and hiring process; interviews applicants and makes hire recommendations.
- Provides coaching, feedback, and guidance to team members on a continual basis and takes an active role in developing, monitoring, and updating a career plan for advancement.
- Completes performance appraisals and reviews with employees; recommends salary increases to management and HR.
- Provides input to the department budgeting process and monitors and controls expenses through the year to meet budget requirements.

Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics Management or equivalent
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in multiple areas of the supply chain function, including 5 or more years of management experience
- Proven successful project management leadership skills
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making
- Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives.
- Expert understanding of planning, purchasing, and logistics procedures while addressing issues with impact beyond own team based on knowledge of related disciplines
- Expert understanding of related aspects of planning, purchasing, and logistics processes and/or systems. ERP experience Deacom, IQMS and/or Syspro preferred.
- Expert understanding of planning concepts and requirements (e.g., CRP (Capacity Requirement Planning), MRP (Material Requirements Plan), Production Scheduling and Sequencing.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for raw materials
