The Director of Supply Chain Management is a dynamic role within the WInnebago Motorhome business that will lead and evolve the Supply Chain Team for a $1B RV manufacturing business with $500M in material spend. In this role you will develop and execute strategic supply chain initiatives to ensure the efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials, balancing capacity with demand. In addition, you will drive operational excellence, optimize the end-to-end supply chain, and build a high-performing, agile team that anticipates and meets the needs of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain and strategic sourcing strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor supply chain and sourcing performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Drive continuous process improvements to eliminate waste, streamline operations, and enhance cost efficiency.
Strategic Sourcing & Negotiations:
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers, ensuring competitive advantage in cost, quality, and delivery.
- Negotiate high-impact contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and mitigate risks.
- Build and sustain robust supplier partnerships through effective communication, performance management, and mutual value creation.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Sourcing and other business units to leverage economies of scale and optimize procurement strategies.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee purchasing for chassis, raw materials, and components, ensuring uninterrupted material availability.
- Maximize the potential of the FTZ while ensuring full compliance with regulations.
- Implement risk management frameworks to proactively address supply chain disruptions.
- Lead inventory optimization strategies to balance availability with cost efficiency.
Technology Integration:
- Drive the effective use of D365 ERP systems to enhance supply chain operations and ensure data-driven decision-making.
- Align supply chain technology needs with IT systems and processes for enhanced efficiency and visibility.
Collaboration & Innovation:
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product Management, Design, Finance, and Manufacturing Operations, to meet business objectives.
- Support New Product Development (NPD) teams by ensuring cost-effective and timely material sourcing to meet project milestones.
Supplier & Team Development:
- Build strong supplier networks, incorporating performance reviews, scorecards, and improvement initiatives.
- Provide clear leadership and direction to direct and indirect reports, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and innovation.
- Train and mentor the supply chain team to develop expertise in strategic sourcing, advanced negotiation techniques, and the effective use of D365.
Performance Reporting:
- Regularly present supply chain and sourcing performance metrics, strategies, and updates to leadership.
- Proactively manage excess and obsolete inventory with long-term strategies to minimize waste.
Other Duties:
- Oversee Salvage operations to drive process improvements and cost recovery.
- Provide indirect leadership for Material Warehousing, Logistics, Planning, and Scheduling teams.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive supply chain and strategic sourcing experience.
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) required.
- Durable goods manufacturing experience (5+ years) required.
- Demonstrated experience with D365 ERP systems.
- Proven track record in leading complex projects, strategic negotiations, and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated budget management responsibility.

Travel Requirement:
Willingness to travel up to 10% to other Winnebago locations..
