Core Responsibilities
Lead US Marketing Spend planning (i.e. budget) at the portfolio level to help deliver strategic and commercial marketing plans.Lead operational collaboration across USMLT (US Marketing Leadership Team) to improve connectivity increasing our marketing effectiveness.Provide cross-functional leadership as a core member of the Americas ICP (Integrated Customer Planning) team and the US Business Unit ICP to ensure proper Consumer Sales expectations, strategies, and marketing spend levels match the US business strategies.Continuously consult with Global teams on marketing planning, performance, and processes to use US examples as lead market recommendations.Ad-hoc analysis for leadership on marketing spend and efficiency levels to drive top investment decisions.Consult with US Marketing and brand management on strategic recommendation of input, where/what to spend, reviewing MS%, seasonality, Marketing objectives of spend and impact of spend on the short-term US demand plan.Coach US team on Audience Consumer Sales evaluation and strategies to improve Audience performance.Drive marketing effectiveness efforts together with the team, ensuring marketing decisions consider sales-cost ratio, optimizing marketing mix, short vs long term benefit, audience sufficiency, etc.Manage Marketing Planning Manager(s) in US who develop the detailed spend plan in MRM as well as actual results.Represent US in global marketing planning forums as needed and take part in global projects.Do you have what it takes?
10+ years' experience in strategic planning, business consulting, strategy development and portfolio management; global premium consumer brand or agency preferred.5+ years' leadership experience, preferably in a global setting developing direct and indirect team members.Excellent partner management across all levels of an organization both internally and externally; effective communication style to drive influence.Strong intuition for business with a proven ability to turn data into insights; continuous improvement mentality ensuring that past learnings and insights are embedded in future activities and processes.Experience leading and completing multiple projects (local and global) at one time, with the ability to problem solve while delivering sound recommendations.Ability & willingness to travel; expectation 4-6 trips per year, domestic and international.Expert in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel & PowerPoint.Proficient in econometric modeling/MMM – understanding and actioning.Comfortable with reporting tools (ex: MRM, PowerBI, Lumina).Previous experience working with / within a global marketing organization preferred.Demonstrable skill in navigating and delivering against “stretch goals” in complex organizational structures preferred.Additional details on this position
- The salary for this position has a range of $156,400 - $234,600 USD based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints.
- This position will initially be based at 10 St. James Ave. in Boston, before moving to a new office location at 1001 Boylston St by mid-2025.
