Director of Data Analytics – Retail - 100% Remote - PST hours

Overview:Our mid-size retail client is seeking a Director of Data Analytics to join their CTO's division. This role is pivotal for driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the retail industry (B2B and B2C) and be a thought leader in data analytics.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Data Analytics team, providing mentorship and training to Data Analysts and Data Engineers.
  • Develop and implement data strategies to support business objectives and improve decision-making processes.
  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various departments including Supply Chain, Distribution, Retail Stores, Sales, and Marketing to understand their data needs and deliver solutions.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in data analytics and apply them to enhance the organization's data capabilities.
  • Oversee the technical environment including SAP S/4 Hana ERP (FICO, SD, MM, TMS, etc.), Salesforce CRM, Power BI, ETL processes, WMS (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, High Jump, etc.), Data Lake, and Data Warehouse.
  • Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in Data Analytics within the retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of both B2B and B2C retail environments.
  • Expertise in SAP S/4 Hana ERP, Salesforce CRM, Power BI, ETL, WMS, Data Lake, and Data Warehouse technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with business stakeholders to identify data needs and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Excellent thought leadership skills with a focus on data utilization, outcomes, ROI, and problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to mentor and train Data Analysts and Data Engineers.
