Disaster Recovery Project ManagerBackgroundWe are expanding the number of customer applications that will be provided with disaster recovery environments.The disaster recovery environments will be built where EMC SRDF data replication infrastructure is in place along with a core virtual infrastructure. The goal is to build out and configure this environment(s) to support the new DR applications which are mission critical and complex.The project manager will work with the internal staff, vendor support teams, and customers located throughout MA.Qualifications should include a minimum of 5-7 years' experience in the high-tech industry as program manager, product manager, project manager, or consultant.Responsibilities of the Disaster Recovery Project Manager include:* Serve as the primary point of contact for the build of assigned application Disaster Recovery environments, and responsible for the overall delivery of projects within the program* Document how the program will be executed and managed* Develop overall program plan for various components and work with each Project Manager to integrate such plans* Manage the program budget* Identify process improvements needed to ensure project success and achieve consensus with management and business units* Express critical thinking and recommend technical solutions to solve customer business problems* Facilitate technical support as needed including but not limited to architectural reviews, compliance reviews and various project artifacts* Assist in identifying gaps in technology, infrastructure, finances or resource needs* Manage the program's scope, schedule, budget and resources to successfully fulfill business and technical requirements on-budget, on-time, on-quality and with high customer satisfaction.* Identify and assist in managing interdependencies between projects in the program* Ensure that issues, risks and other barriers to project completion are documented and monitored* Provide project status reports in the Clarity Project and Portfolio Management tool* Lead program management meetings with project sponsors, management, stakeholders and staff* Preferred Qualifications:* Minimum of five to seven years in project management.* B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience* Knowledge and/or certification with respect to ITIL* Knowledge and/or certification in Project Management* Experience in managing disaster recovery environment build projects* Experience with any of the followingtechnologies:Redhat Linux, VMware vSphere including SRM and NSX., AIX, Microsoft SQL database technologies, Oracle database technologies, Storage replication, Commvault Simpana backup technologies, Software Defined Data Center, Network virtualization, Storage virtualization, Private Cloud integration with Public Cloud* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with engineering, operations, support, management, and agency personnel and the ability to interface and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with business partners in remote locations* Strong organizational skills in managing deadlines in a fast-paced, high availability environment, managing multiple priorities* Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, database and spreadsheet management, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio
