Dishwasher- Full-Time Renaissance Allentown

Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. As a dishwasher, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the hotel's kitchen, ensuring our culinary team can operate efficiently and deliver exceptional guest experiences. This is a full-time position in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashers or manual methods. • Maintain clean and organized workstations, including dish pit areas and dish storage. • Follow proper procedures for disposing of waste and recycling materials. • Kitchen Support: • Assist with basic cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters. • Support the culinary team by ensuring clean tools, equipment, and dishware are readily available. • Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment. • Safety and Sanitation: • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines. • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors. • Follow all hotel safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Qualifications • Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is a plus but not required. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. • Basic understanding of sanitation and safety practices (training will be provided). • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks. • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-player mentality. Work Environment • Kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and water. • Standing for long periods and performing physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and moving heavy objects.
