Responsible for correctly and completely cleaning and sanitizing restaurant equipment, plate ware, glassware and utensils. Maintains organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Completes opening duties according to restaurant standards. Uses correct type and amount of cleaning chemicals for designated items, according to OSHA regulations and restaurant requirements. Cleans designated equipment, sinks, refrigerators/freezers, service areas, walls, floors, and garbage areas, as assigned, following established procedures. Ensures the cleanliness and sanitation of all washed equipment and areas. Stores cleaned equipment properly in designated areas. Handles all wares carefully to prevent breakage and loss. Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout shift. Cleans spills in kitchen and work areas immediately. Uses designated chemicals and supplies to clean floors and mats.
