Job Overview: Join our culinary team as a Hotel Dishwasher, where you will ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized for use. Dishwashing: Operate industrial dishwashers to wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, and utensils, and manually clean delicate items. Sort and stack clean dishes for proper storage. Sanitation: Keep the dishwashing area clean and organized, ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned and regularly maintaining equipment. Health and Safety Compliance: Comply with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment and report any hazards. Hotel Policies Compliance: Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, including time and attendance, meal and rest breaks, grooming standards, professional code of conduct, and professionalism, to support guest satisfaction. Support Kitchen Operations: Assist kitchen staff by providing clean utensils and dishes, help with basic food prep, and notify supervisors of any equipment issues or supply shortages. Assist with accepting deliveries and storing them. Waste Management: Dispose of food waste and other materials according to hotel policies and support recycling efforts. Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, help new dishwashers, and support all team members during busy times. Qualifications: Some prior kitchen, food service, or dishwashing experience, preferably in a hotel setting, though training will be provided. A positive attitude, strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team are essential. Candidates must be able to stand for long periods, lift, move, push, and pull heavy items (up to 50 pounds), and work in a hot, humid environment. Food Handler Certification (or the ability to obtain them upon hire) is required. Working Environment:You will work in a fast-paced kitchen with exposure to heat, steam, and noise.
