Dispatcher The Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling and dispatching drivers and equipment, while overseeing all related operations. This role requires maintaining excellent communication and coordination to meet the transportation needs of the organization efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate drivers for equipment and material pickups and deliveries to job sites.
- Monitor routes and statuses of service/delivery vehicles to prioritize schedules effectively.
- Provide necessary information to service/delivery vehicles regarding orders, traffic, and other requirements.
- Manage paperwork for truck drivers, including DVIRs, tickets, and roadside inspections.
- Input data into the system and maintain logs and records of activities, adhering to DOT regulations.
- Obtain trucking permits promptly as needed.
- Review and approve driver time sheets for submission to Logistics Manager daily.
- Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality, especially concerning sensitive employee matters and shared information with leadership.
- Always Act with integrity and professionalism.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Prioritize truck utilization according to daily needs and SEI goals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of dispatch experience necessary.
- Valid driver s license required.
