Description Coordinates and completes tasks that promote safety and enhance operational efficiency through a continuous improvement mindset. Provides tools for staff to integrate and further improve judgment, knowledge, skills, and techniques. This position will require someone who is able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. This position requires a high level of attention to detail. Aspects of this position also includes accounting, banking and customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Verifies accuracy of route times, stop times/ location are correct (route deviation).
  • Run various operation reports weekly or as needed.
  • Read maps, follow written and geographic directions according to route / trip logs.
  • Respond to radio and telephone calls. Return messages and be part of call team for mass phone calling needs.
  • Transport students in a timely manner to and from school and to and from school activities following district safety procedures and applicable State Board of Education rules and regulations.
  • Provides administrative support for Transportation Manager by maintaining transportation records, various state/federal/district reports such as mileage and fuel report, and payroll documentation. Complete Purchase orders for vendors.
  • Coordinate Activities of School Bus Drivers and other duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager.
  • Will ensure all shift routes are filled.
  • Responsible for ensuring that HR files at the location are current and accurate.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all new hires and terminations are processed based on company HR protocols and procedures.
  • This position will act as the liaison with the corporate HR Department and the site.
  • This position will be the liaison between the site and Corporate Accounts Payable department in regards to ensuring that all location Payables are coded in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Responsible for ensuring all General Ledger expenses are accurate as well scanned and filed into the company's business system.
  • Responsible for retrieving and dissemination of all mail received and sent on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for procuring office supplies for all departments. This procurement will be done based on the company's approved processes and all expenses must be tracked and accounted for based on corporate guidelines.
  • Responsible for assisting the entire facility with customer service. This includes answering customer inquiries, answering incoming calls, working with customers at our location and ensuring that all customers are treated based on the Company's acceptable guidelines.
  • Responsible for running and disseminating daily, weekly and monthly reports. These reports will come from the company's business systems and will be sent to the Transportation manager and on a regular basis.
  • This position will be responsible for a variety of tasks and projects throughout the course of any given day. It is the expectation that the person in this position will complete these tasks in a complete and timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent (prefer Associate's Degree) or three to five years related experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid and/or eligible to hold a CDL drivers license to operate a school bus as required by State Law with passenger P , school bus S endorsement with no airbrake restriction and a good driving record. Drivers must comply with part 391 of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and obtain/ sustain US DOT Medical Examiners Certificate. Obtain/ sustain First Aid/CPR certification upon hired. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one passengers, parents and other employees of the organization. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
