Star Lumber & Supply Co., Inc. delivers confidence through our products and our people. We are seeking a Dispatcher to join our Building Materials Transportation Team. The dispatcher is at the helm of our delivery operation, working as a liaison between the sales and operations staff. This role is in charge of organizing all daily deliveries and pick up returns out of our Oklahoma City Distribution Yard. Responsibilities of the Dispatcher • Work through daily delivery schedule and route trucks. • Answer driver, customer, and sales delivery questions. • Assist with managing the fleet maintenance records. • Verify Driver Logs • Collaborate with sales and operations. The Ideal Candidate is • Works well under pressure while maintaining a professional attitude. • Thrives in a fast-paced operational atmosphere handling multiple tasks and projects. • Flourishes in a team environment and takes pride in helping the team achieve success. • Highly organized, detailed and possess strong time management skills. Requirements • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-based atmosphere. • Aptitude to think critically and problem solve. • Proficient in various software applications including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and web based applications. • Must be 18 years old • Availability to work during operating hours Monday - Friday 7a-5p. Preferred Experience • Has or willing to obtain a valid Class A/B CDL within 6 months. • Geographical knowledge of the Oklahoma Metro Area • Knowledge of building materials • Forklift/Donkey/Moffett Experience
