What we expect from you as a Northwest Ambulance Dispatcher:
- Assessing caller information and formulating an action plan.
- Scheduling and dispatching medical transports and field crews to appropriate locations.
- Evaluating call information to determine the suitable units and level of care/response.
- Effectively conveying information to field crews in a fast-paced environment.
- Utilizing telephones, TAC radios, computers, pagers, and text messaging to transmit information.
- Communicating with supervisors, field crews, customers, and other dispatchers to address issues, service requests, and payments.
- Receiving and documenting relevant information from emergency and non-emergency calls.
- Assigning priority to calls based on urgency and importance.
- Responding to issues and coordinating with the appropriate department or supervisor for resolution.
- Operating and managing a multi-line phone system.
- Efficiently operating and managing computer systems, GANTT, and CAD.
- Maintaining accurate call logs and patient information.
- Familiarity with dispatching procedures and guidelines for field crews.
- Awareness of county and state protocols.
- Creating daily schedules for field crews.
- Monitoring field crew/rig route and status to coordinate and prioritize schedules.
- Accepting payments and diligently recording information.
- Managing multiple incidents simultaneously.
- Assisting other dispatchers as required.
- Providing precise information and instructions to callers.
- Supporting crews in reporting malfunctioning equipment and implementing plans for replacement or repair.
- Performing other assigned duties.

- This position is a safety conscious position and does require a drug screening prior to employment.

Wages:
Our wage range is $31.50-$34.49 per hour. Shifts are either 8, 10 or 12 hours long.
