ABOUT OUR CLIENT:

We are an intermodal rail freight agency of a nationwide carrier dedicated to providing efficient and reliable logistics solutions. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Order Entry and Assistant Dispatcher Trainee. This role is ideal for someone eager to create a career in logistics by developing the skills and knowledge necessary to become a qualified dispatcher

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Order Entry: Process customer orders with precision and update internal transportation management systems
• Shipment Tracking: Monitor shipment progress, manage freight documentation, and ensure timely updates within company systems
• Dispatcher Training: Learn core dispatch responsibilities, including route planning, scheduling, and managing driver assignments, through hands-on training and shadowing senior dispatchers
• Problem-Solving: Assist in troubleshooting and resolving logistical challenges, such as shipment delays or adjustments
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including drivers and dispatchers, to maintain smooth operations and efficient communication

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Logistics, transportation, with excellent data entry skills
• Strong computer proficiency with the ability to multitask across different software systems and windows
• Familiarity with email platforms and Microsoft Office tools is essential
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry is critical
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure

• Full-time Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
